Being the home of creatives who like the industrial-inspired look, but also wanted a dose of luxury, the resultant look of this 950 sqf, four-bedroom BTO HDB flat in Kallang features its white walls, bare finishes and minimalist details.

They worked with Chris Huang of Bowerman Interior Planner, who designed the flat with streamlined, linear features, and juxtaposed materials such as concrete and marble, to achieve the industrial-luxe aesthetic.

Rich, jewel hues and lustrous brass-tone accents were also incorporated, as seen in the open-concept living area. Cushions from Bode, Classicon Bell table from Space, and rug from The Rug Maker.

The modern industrial décor of this 645 sqf, three-room flat in the east comes with a jolt of Chinois chic that is inspired by a tribal jacket the owner bought in China. The weekend home of Chris Huang – a private chef and owner of interior design firm Bowerman Interior Planner – there’s plenty of room for cooking, serving and resting despite the tight space.

As privacy was not a concern, the walls of the bedroom were replaced with glass panels.

The heavy-duty kitchen usage dictated the need for low-maintenance materials such as concrete screed for the floor, which is covered with epoxy so dust and oil won't seep through. The colour scheme is predominantly a mix of grey, white and black.

The bathroom features granite and homogeneous tiles on the floor and walls.
