Less Is More, five-room HDB flat at The Pinnacle
As seen from the entrance foyer, the flat's design is understated, with simple details and a neutral colour palette.

The main elements of the living area - the raised floor, island counter and feature wall that spans almost the entire width of the flat - have consistent linear profiles and details.

Behind a pivot door that lies flushed with the feature wall is the corridor that leads to the common bathroom and master suite. The parquet flooring was stained to achieve a darker wenge tone.

The view from the corridor shows slabs of textured, rustic quartz on the other wall of the living area, which complements the space's smooth, polished finishes.

The bay window in te master bedroom was turned into a platform daybed with storage space underneath.

A glass panel, in place of a wall, separates the sleeping area from the walk-in wardrobe in the master bedroom, allowing more light into both spaces.

Bridging the private and public areas, a platform finished in quartz tiles - cut to replicate the effect of timber strips - also conceals unsightly electrical ducting and plumbing.

Next to the large island counter is the open-concept convertible study area, with glass panels that slide out of a concealed compartment for privacy. The desk can be hidden using folding partitions.
