Recessed niches in the attic house backlit movie posters, bringing a cinema look to the entertainment room.

The attic was converted into a home theatre (not seen). The false ceiling of the space was removed to accentuate its loft-like “feel”.

A sliding door opens up the landing area to a study room, where ceiling-height cupboards were built-in for an “old-world-meets- modern” look.

The master bedroom is deliberately kept simple and cosy with carpeted floors and muted tones.

His-and-hers sinks in the bathroom evoke a resort-like feel.

A tall feature-wall-and-TV console unit demarcates the living-room space and also hides the stairs.

Laminate, solid surfaces, tiles and appliances in dark tones are utilised in the kitchen to contrast against the natural light from the windows.

Despite the basement being out of sight, it’s still decked in lively tilework to enliven the dark space.
