[Renovation cost: $200,000] Homeowner Tiana always wanted a room covered in toile print. To balance out the feminine pink hue in the daughter’s room, designer Wendy used accents of black. This prevents the room from looking too childlike, and will be suitable even for a teenager.

[Renovation cost: $200,000] Small spaces don’t have to be plain. Wendy wanted the powder room to resemble a Faberge egg, or the inside of a jewellery box. She chose intricately patterned kilim tiles from Portugal, and added accents of gold and sapphire for a bejewelled finish.
