Dyson has done it again. This time, it has proven that bigger does not necessarily mean better. In fact, if you’ve been following the evolution of its vacuum cleaners, you would have noticed the shift from corded vacuum cleaners to new cordless models that promise to do better than its predecessors with every launch.
Dyson Cyclone V10 is the brand’s latest revolutionary product. With this machine, Dyson has proudly announced that it will no longer be producing big corded vacuums. Its new and improved technology promises equivalent (if not, better) efficiency when compared with corded cleaners. Here are 10 things to prove that the Dyson Cyclone V10 will blow you away and make you say goodbye to corded vacuum cleaners forever.
1) Smaller and lighter, yet more powerful
Dyson’s latest stick vacuum has a smaller and lighter motor than its predecessor Dyson V8, yet it's proven to be 20 per cent more powerful. In fact the weight of the all-new Dyson V10 Cyclone digital motor is almost half that of the Dyson V8’s. Made of ceramic, it is also the brand’s fastest and most power-dense digital vacuum motor yet. It spins up to 125,000 rpm — that’s over 2,000 revolutions a second!
2) Cleans from ceiling to floors
Because the machine is so lightweight, you won’t feel as if you’re lifting heavy weights at the gym when you vacuum the ceiling fans or cornices. Thanks to the sleek, compact body as well as a variety of nozzles and accessories you can add on, you can reach every corner or crevice in your home and clean it completely.
3) There are indicators to update you on the condition of your machine
You’ll never have to second-guess what’s happening to your machine when it seems to be working less efficiently. Dyson Cyclone V10 has an LED system diagnostics that gives instant confirmation of filter status, blockage and battery usage, so you can fix the problem and get it back on track.
4) Its patented brush cleans everything
Four rows of soft anti-static carbon fibre filament remove fine dust from hard floors. Large debris is no problem for the machine either, as the roller is covered entirely with soft woven nylon that helps pick up large pieces of dirt. The stiffer and denser nylon bristles also dive deep into carpets to remove stubborn dirt and pet hair.
5) It is not as loud as you think
The machine is acoustically engineered so it does not create jarringly loud noises that’ll wake even your neighbours. A layer of acoustic felt around the Dyson digital motor V10, a post motor filter, as well as a motor bucket that regulates airflow around the motor to reduce turbulence, help absorb vibrations and reduce noise.
6) Up to 60-minutes fade-free run time
The lightweight, energy-dense battery ensures constant suction so performance is not compromised from start to end. Just be sure to charge up the machine once the battery runs out at the end of an hour’s run time!
7) You won't get your hands dirty even when clearing the bin
With a ‘point and shoot’ bin emptying mechanism, simply release all the dust and dirt directly into the dustbin or trash bag and dispose immediately.
8) The air that leaves the machine is extremely clean
Allergens and bacteria are kept in, thanks to the pre- and post-motor filters, which are integrated as one sealed unit, so you won’t have to worry about nasty microscopic dust (as small as 0.3 microns) escaping from the machine and into the air you breathe.
9) Various accessories allow you to clean all spaces
There are tools that cater to different uses and needs. These include accessories such as the combination tool (for all surfaces), mattress tool (perfect for mattress and upholstery cleaning), hose extension (to reach into awkward corners), mini motorized head (to remove ground-in dirt and hair from upholstery and confined spaces), amongst others.
10) Sleek and stylish design
With a sleek body that comes with a metallic orange stick, it is minimalist, yet futuristic. A must-have appliance for the home, we say!
