As a leading manufacturer of showerheads, shower systems, bathroom and kitchen faucets, and kitchen sinks, German company Hansgrohe, with its brands AXOR and hansgrohe, has created many innovative solutions for bathrooms and kitchens. This includes the luxurious AXOR brand collaborating with distinguished architects and product designers across the world, like Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio and Patricia Urquiola, to bring stylish and luxurious bathroom and kitchen options to homeowners.

As it continually innovates, the Hansgrohe company has gained recognition for new technologies in its products, including receiving accolades such as “Kitchen Innovation of the Year 2017”. Housed under the Hansgrohe Group, AXOR recently launched a new range of kitchen granite sinks – a selection of minimalist-style SilicaLux sinks made of composite quartz and acrylic resin.

Made in Germany, these AXOR SilicaLux quality sinks are made of 75 percent quartz and designed to incorporate intricate craftsmanship.

They’re also made to be very easy to maintain, as the material of the sink ensures it is dirt- and stain-repellant. As the bacteria in dirt and stains do not lurk, it is hygienic and free of odour. These features are essential for a space like the kitchen where meals are prepared, to ensure the health and safety of family and guests.

Cooking and entertaining guests at home will be a worry-free experience, too, as homeowners needn’t fret over drinks like red wine, coffee or tea, as well as food from pots and pans, leaving marks on the AXOR SilicaLux sinks.

Especially for open-plan kitchens, accessories chosen should blend with the living environment such as the living room and dining room. This way, the kitchen will not look out of place while serving its functional purposes. The new SilicaTec granite sink collection from the hansgrohe brand is designed such that the range offers standout sinks that can become kitchen centrepieces, with warm, elegant tones, sleek design and quality.

The surface of the sink is smooth, hard and non-porous as only rounded quartz particles from quartz sand, the hardest constituent of granite, are chosen for the sinks. The wider rims help blend this sink seamlessly with your countertop too. The overflow is also hidden from sight and positioned on the right side of the bowl, so it looks clean and uncluttered.

To enhance functionality, the hansgrohe SilicaTec sink comes with a choice of intuitive controls, positioned at the front right-hand side of the sink rim. The central control unit can be switched and turned to select precise water temperature and volume. Once selected, these settings remain constant so there is no need to toggle the options each time you use the faucet. Instead, simply press the Select button on the high spout or right sink rim – depending on where you position them.
