When fashion and interiors come together, the results can be amazing. We are in love with the latest partnership between Raf Simons, the current creative director of Dior Women, with renowned Danish upholstery fabric company Kvadrat. The talented designer first used Kvadrat fabrics for suits and coats in Jill Sander’s fall/ winter 2011 collection, then a daring choice. Now the partnership has been formalised and the Kvadrat/ Raf Simons collection was launched in January this year. It consists of 11 core textile designs that feature diverse yet complementary tones, weaves and textures. The hues run the gamut from soft pinks to muted mustards and electric blues and reds, while fabrics include luxurious cashmere, merino, baby alpaca and ethically-sourced Cape mohair. Finished products such as cushions and throws are also available. Purchase from mid-March – check kvadratrafsimons.com for stocklists.
