  • Pressure relief is needed at the shoulder and hip areas.
  • It is important to have a pillow that can fill the gap between your neck and shoulder and align your body while you are lying sideways.
  • Support the gap between the legs with a bolster or knee pillow.
  • This position lengthens your spine and reduces snoring.

  • You're good as long as you don't feel your lower body sinking.
  • Using a pillow that supports your neck and shoulder as wellas elevates your upper body will give you the best alignment.
  • You can elevate the knee slightly by placing a thin pillow under it, especially if you have back problems.
  • Sleeping in this position will reduce or prevent back pain.

  • If changing the habit is difficult, make sure the mattress and orthopaedic pillow provide you with adequate support.
  • Visit the brick-and-mortar store to try out the best mattresses and pillows. Ask the salesperson for assistance.
