Sick of seeing pet fish subjected to living in the same tank as fake clam shells that open and close with air bubbles, Japanese artist Haruka Misawa created his own line of Minimalist-inspired tanks that feature 3D-printed aquascapes.

Not only are the tanks made with clear materials, some also feature inverted interiors that are partially filled with water, thanks to the effect of trapped air within the void. This transforms the look into a tank-within-tank concept.

If you’re fascinated by these tanks, the bad news is you might have to wait a bit more before they come on the market. At the moment the artist shares that the Waterscapes project is still in its prototype stage.
