If you're a fan of Leica or adore portrait photography, check out Mark Shaw: An Asian Debut, a showcase of prints by American celebrity photographer Mark Shaw.
Shaw has been known for his works with iconic and well-known personalities and celebrities. In this Asian debut, expect to come upclose with intimate images which depict the magic of Picasso’s studio, glamourous images with Dior, Givenchy, Chanel, quirky and personal insights into the personal life of Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel.
Mark Shaw began his career in 1946 at Harper’s Bazaar and soon afterwards started shooting for Mademoiselle. He then began working as a freelancer for Life in 1952. In his 16 years with the magazine, he shot 27 covers, and more than 100 stories which included the magazine’s annual review of the European fashion collections. He was one of the first photographers to use colour when shooting the runways and “backstage” at the couture shows.
