Interior designers as well as design students can now submit their entries to the annual Design Excellence Awards (DEA). Split into two tracks — the Interior Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) for completed built projects by industry practitioners; and the Spatial Design Awards (SPADE) for completed academic projects by design students — the DEA is open to global entries.

The panel of judges include a list of local and international names, too, such as founder of Cameron Woo Design & President of IDCS 2018-2019, Cameron Woo; interior designers Anouska Hempel of Anouska Hempel and William Chan of Spacedge Designs; and president of Indonesian Society of Interior Designers, Lea Aziz.
Guests judges for Best Bathroom and Designer of the Year, Alicia Asri from Villeroy & Boch and Young Lim, the Editor of Home & Decor Singapore, respectively, will also lend their insights to the entries.
IDEA is looking for entries for a total 27 categories, which include best residential, retail and F&B designs as well as four new categories i.e. Best Kitchen Design, Best Bathroom Design, IDEA Colour Award and Designer of the Year.
SPADE, on the other hand, has 11 categories. This includes best residential, retail, hospitality and sustainable designs.
SUBMISSION DETAILS & DEADLINE
Entries will be accepted through 28 February 2019 for projects that were completed between June 2016 and June 2018. Submission details and a complete list of categories can be found at www.IDCS.sg/DEA. Submit your entries at www.idcs.awardsplatform.com.
