As a soon-to-be homeowner, I often have debates with my husband over the need for a television in the bedroom. I want it to be a relaxing, restful space sans a black rectangle. On the other hand, my husband wants to play FIFA and Red Dead Redemption 2 in the bedroom. And, we both love Netflix. How do we solve this? Our answer, we figured, would be a concealable TV.
At the CES 2019, LG launched a model that is ideal for situations like mine. It is the LG Signature Oled TV R (model 65R9). The "R" here stands for "rise" and "roll-up". With a few presses of the button, the Oled TV R can be tucked away in its base.
The Oled TV R features three views
Full view
At full view (pictured, above) the television is rolled up 100 per cent, revealing the full, 65-inch screen. This is when you can fully utilise the Oled TV's AI picture and sound quality powered by LG's Alpha 9 intellient processor. It supports Amazon Alexa, Apple Airplay 2 and Homekit.
Line view
At Line View, the Oled TV R will be partially unrolled, allowing users to manage certain tasks that do not require the full tv screen such as Clock, Frame, Mood, Music and Home Dashboard. On Clock mode, you can check the time and weather. On Frame mode, you are able to display some photos on the screen.

Zero View
At Zero view, all 65 inches of the Oled TV R is hidden. However, users can still enjoy music and other audio content. And the 4.2 channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos — encased in a brushed aluminum casing and wool speaker cover designed by Danish brand Kvadrat — will make it sound and look really good, too.
Here's a video on it:

No word yet on the prices. Stay tuned! Will you be getting this for your bedroom or living room?
