If you've noticed a large building coming up opposite the taxi stand of Paragon Shopping Centre, that's the new integrated development by CapitaLand, which comprises a 268-unit high-end residential block, and Ascott Orchard Singapore luxury serviced apartments in another block. The development sits adjacent to Paragon, and behind the Heeren, and is bounded by Bideford Road and Cairnhill Road.
The 30-storey-high, 99-year leasehold residential development, Cairnhill Nine, will be one of the tallest buildings in Orchard Road when completed, and enjoys unbeatable convenience, being linked to the third floor of Paragon by a link-bridge. It also boasts the largest hanging garden in Singapore, with a 423metre-long green perimeter belt spanning 2,224 square metres, and a 50m-long lap pool.
Perhaps the best news for property investors is that you can buy a unit for a little as $1.35m (this is for an address in the heart of Orchard Road, mind you)! The 268 units comprise one-bedroom, one-plus-guest, two-bedrooms, two-plus-guest, and four-bedroom units, plus penthouses.
