WHAT: NeueHouse Hollywood – a seven-story co-working space created for entrepreneurs in creative industries, designed by the Rockwell Group.
WHERE: Hollywood, Los Angeles. NeueHouse Hollywood took over the iconic CBS Radio Building and Studio, which was completed in 1938.
WHY WE LOVE IT: Mixed materials such as leather, concrete, marble, and metal come together in this creative hub - organised into a streamlined and symmetrical design. It oozes a no-nonsense - albeit stylish - vibe which makes it conducive for entrepreneurs and startups to brainstorm great ideas.
Flooded with daylight from the adjacent courtyard, the main lobby is the heart of NeueHouse Hollywood, where all members begin and end their day. Here, raw materials such as the lacquered concrete floors and those of the exposed structural details juxtapose against the elegance of these minimalist sofas and Moroccan rugs.
NueuHouse acccommodates the varying needs of their members with a wide range of work environments, such as semi-private work areas, a gallery with lounge seating, rows of oak library tables, as well as leather banquettes for a cosy spot. The oversized chandeliers you see are custom made, and features mirror polished steel and glass globes.
Prefer a private studio? Head to the fourth and fifth floors, where studios sit alongside atelier desks and intimate lounge areas. More pictures below:
