Shortly after sharing its plans to open a hotel in Beijing and Shenzhen, popular Japanese minimalist lifestyle brand Muji announced that it was also going to established a hotel/store in the heart of Tokyo. Construction is already underway at the site of the former branch of the Tokyo Electric Power company in Ginza district. Set to be completed in the Spring of 2019, the new 10-storey building will house both the hotel and the largest Muji flagship (3,300sqm). Seven floors will be devoted to the store, while the remaining space will be used for the hotel.
