If you love period dramas, or antiques, you'll love these rare musical boxes from  Germany, Switzerland, and America, on display at the Singapore Musical Box Museum.

The Home & Decor team visited this museum, located inside the Thian Hock Keng temple, for a quick look at music history. There are up to 20 musical boxes -- from gramaphones to large automatic musical boxes that contain drums, triangles and bells in them -- each with an intricate history, which the guide will patiently take you through.

*At (0:17), the correct spelling for the musical box is American Roller Gem Organ

You'll also spot other history gems, such as old paintings and cuckoo clocks (which uses a similar mechanism as these antique musical boxes. Watch our video for a sneak peek!

The Singapore Musical Box Museum is located at 168 Telok Ayer Street. Entry is $12 (adults) each.
