Photography enthusiasts and history buffs take note, this is your last chance to document the 84 years of Tanjong Pagar railway station's existence.

Visitors will get their last chance to see the Tanjong Pagar Railway Station on Christmas Day before it closes for an extended period of time, said the Singapore Land Authority (SLA).

The national monument will be opened to the public from 9am to 9pm on Dec 25. Admission is free.

The station will be closed after that for the construction of the Cantonment MRT station on the Circle Line.

On Dec 25, there will be an all-day Christmas market selling Christmas treats and food and beverage. Visitors will be able to enjoy live jazz performances by the Richard Jackson Jazz Quartet and sing along to Christmas carols alongside a cappella group NUS Resonance.

In keeping with the spirit of giving, visitors can make a donation to the Community Chest and hop onto a train that will take them around the station.

They can also donate new and pre-loved toys and books to beneficiaries supported by the Community Chest.

More information can be found on the SLA Facebook page, www.facebook.com/SingaporeLandAuthority.
