Kuhlmann Experience Centre in Kallang: Kitchen, wardrobe storage systems in penthouse-style showroom

Discerning homeowners can now experience the signature Kuhlmann brand, which marries precise German engineering and elegant Italian design, at the new Kuhlmann Experience Centre in Kallang. Known for its craftsmanship and innovation, the nearly century-old brand had launched the Kuhlmann International office in Singapore earlier in 2021. This new 3,000 sq ft showroom is a further demonstration of the brand’s presence in the region.
Designed by Creative Director Simon Chiang, the Experience Centre was conceptualised as a luxurious penthouse suite, comprising a kitchen, wardrobe, and living and dining areas. Each of these spaces showcases the bespoke modular solutions that Kuhlmann is known for, including storage systems, furnishings, and interior finishes.
To put the spotlight on these, the showroom is clad in a rich palette of black and walnut tones, offset by neutral shades. Large panes of glass are used to divide the showroom into a series of semi-open spaces, visually connecting them while still defining each zone clearly. Other design elements, like dark-tinted mirrors and wood-panelled ceilings, emphasise the length and spaciousness of the interiors.
Against this backdrop, visitors can fully appreciate the custom furnishings and fittings on display. The quality and design shine through, illuminated by the soft lighting and decorative pendant lamps strategically placed throughout the showroom, and illustrating the brand’s European legacy.
