Moooi Hortensia, $10,895 from Space Furniture
Prefer a statement design showpiece? How about a chair that was once deemed impossible to produced?
Back in 2018, a 3D artist named Andrés Reisinger posted a render of an armchair on his Instagram page. It was designed to be a “digital chair” and looked like a super furry ball that’s been trimmed into the shape of an armchair.
Later in 2021, a Dutch design brand Moooi invited Andrés Reisinger to produce this “impossible” chair for real.
The end result was an armchair made from 30,000 soft fabric petals in a Spring pastel pink.
In fact, the brand found a way to mass produce this chair – albeit at a hefty price tag still.
This chair, however, remains a significant piece of chair and furniture design for it’s arguably the first digital to real life reproduction that has bridged two vastly different worlds.
Storet by Nanda Vigo $25,580 from Space Furniture
Designed by the late Milan-based female Italian designer Nanda Vigo in 1994, Storet is a chest of drawers that has since earned classic status in the furniture universe.
Naturally, the Storet was Nanda Vigo’s most notable designs.
Other designs that equally recognised were the all-white Zero House, floor lamp Lampada Golden Gate, aluminum and glass mirror Cronotopo, and glass table Tavolo – to name a few more.
Takashi Murakami’s Pink DOB 2020 Light Pink, US$3,450
Something pink but hype enough to suit your sneaker collection?
Takashi Murakami’s light pink series of DOB 2020 lithographs will fit the bill.
Released in editions of 100, this light pink print measures 47cm x 47cm and is hand signed and numbered by Murakami himself.

If run-off-the-mill digital wallpapers from Taobao are not up your alley, you’d probably appreciate these traditional English wallpapers from Cole & Son.
Cole & Son was founded in North London in 1875 specialising in wood block printing. Some time in 1900, hand printed wallpaper mimicking velvet flower prints came into trend as it was a cheaper alternative to actual velvet wallpapers. This was called hand-flocked wallpaper and Cole & Son was part of this trend.
Today, you will find that Cole & Son’s wallpapers remain a luxury – with several collaboration with esteemed design houses such as Fornasetti and Ardmore.

Christian Lacroix Maison Utopia Collection Cushion
Previously known for its fashion runway extravaganza, the 71-year-old French fashion designer Christian Lacroix has since taken a backseat in retirement and ventured into home furnishing with his sub-label, Christian Lacroix Maison.
Helmed by creative director Sacha Walckhoff, Christian Lacroix Maison’s prints, weaves, and wallpapers are inspired by “flight and fantasy” and is rounded up in a collection called L’Odyssee, curated by the London-based homeware company, Designers Guild.
In May 2022, Christian Lacroix Maison released its final L’Odyssee collection that includes decoratively embroidered and digital prints inspired by “the world after”.
