Christmas is nearing! Aside from the usual street light-up and store decorations, here are other fun things you can expect to see and do at Orchard Road this year.

1. Celebrate at the Official Light-up Ceremony
Start off the festive season with a bang and witness Orchard Road light up on 11 November, 6:30pm, for the first time this year!

2. Ride on Orchard’s first-ever double-decker carousel
How often does Singapore get one of these? Go on a fun ride on The Great Carousel, a grand, duplex carousel right outside Ngee Ann City!

3. Pose with Santa at the Hitachi Santa House
The Hitachi Santa House will be decked in Christmas decorations, and is set by the fireplace – perfect for a classic festive family photo together. Look out for Santa too! He’ll be there from 24 November to 25 December, 7pm – 10pm daily.

4. Dine & shop at the same time
The Great Carousel and Hitachi Santa House aside, the Christmas Village will also host your favourite F&B stores, as well as retail stores such as Starbucks, Fish & Co, Megafash, Jack Wills and more! Here’s a great place to shop for last minute Christmas gifts, too.
The Christmas Village will run from 25 November – 25 December 2017.

5. Learn to create your own festive dessert
In line with the festive season, Häagen-Dazs is organising a Mochi Cupcake making workshop at their duplex pop up store.

6. Snap away at The Walk of Wonder
Made of special reflective fabric and fairy lights, The Walk of Wonder is a beautiful fantasy-like 20-metre long passage that makes for great pictures. Snap away with your friends, family, or even if it’s just to take your outfit-of-the-day picture!

7. Sing along to Christmas carols
From 11 November to 25 December, get into the full Christmas spirit, while listening to the Christmas carols daily, from 10am – 10pm. On top of that, you can dedicate songs to your loved ones during the weekends!
