13 Best Vacuum Cleaners in Singapore
Whether you’re on a budget or willing to splurge, there’s a vacuum cleaner on this list to suit your needs.
By Melody Bay -
Buying a vacuum cleaner is one of the great hallmarks of adulthood. It’s almost a milestone in itself, the day you joyously unbox your vacuum cleaner and use it for the first time. And when you start caring about things like run time, ease of cleaning, and advanced filtration systems, that’s when you know you’re really old.
It’s also not uncommon these days to own multiple vacuum cleaners: at least one cordless version for light use, one robot vacuum cleaner for the regular automated sweep, and a handheld one for spot cleaning. And that’s just for the average family in a four-room HDB BTO flat. If you have carpets, pets and/or kids, you’ll definitely need to get those vacuum cleaners out on a daily basis (sometimes more often).

Dyson V12 Origin ($599)
Best for laser-precise dust detection in tight spaces (or for clean freaks)
If you’ve ever looked at your “clean” floor and still felt itchy (hands up if you’re guilty of being a cleaning junkie), you’ll love the Dyson V12 Origin. Its built-in laser lights up invisible dust on hard floors — which is equal parts satisfying and alarming, TBH. It’s also super slim and lightweight, perfect for navigating under dining tables and between toys without knocking things over. The auto-adjusting suction is a bonus when you’re zipping from parquet to tiles. And if you’re the kind who loves measuring your goals, the LCD screen will show you exactly how much dust has been sucked up for that extra post-cleaning dopamine hit.
The Dyson V12 Origin is available for $599 at Dyson Singapore.
Midea Robotic Vacuum Cleaner V12 ($999)
Best for hands-free daily cleaning on a busy schedule
This Midea robot vacuum is a quiet achiever — it glides around the house by itself while you’re getting the kids ready or bingeing Netflix after bedtime. With 5000Pa of suction power and LiDAR navigation, it’s surprisingly precise, mapping out your home and dodging toys like a pro.
What really won me over? It vacuums, mops, and then automatically washes its mop head — so you’re not left rinsing out murky water at the end of a long day. It then dries it up with 55°C hot air to prevent bacteria growth — how smart is that? Plus, the app lets you schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and you can check on its progress in real time. Ideal for open-plan flats or homes where the floor somehow gets dirty again five minutes after you just cleaned. (Parents, you know what I mean.)
The Midea Robotic Vacuum Cleaner V12 is available for $999 at Midea Singapore.
Philips 7000 Series Cordless Vacuum Pet ($660)
Best for homes with fur babies and fluffy rugs
If your pets shed fur like it’s their full-time job, this vacuum is your new secret weapon. The Philips 7000 Series is designed for pet parents, with a specially engineered anti-tangle PowerCyclone 12 brush that keeps hair from wrapping around the roller — so you’re not constantly detangling clumps of fur. It also comes with a pet nozzle that’s perfect for lifting embedded hair off sofas, rugs, and car seats.
What makes it extra practical for homes? It’s a three-in-one: vacuum, mop, and handheld cleaner all in one sleek unit. The Aqua Module handles paw prints and accidental spills in one go, while the TriActive Smart LED-lit nozzle helps spot dust and fur even in dim corners. With up to 80 minutes of cordless runtime and three power modes, it’s ideal for both quick cleanups and full-blown weekend deep clean marathons.
The Philips 7000 Series Cordless Vacuum Pet is available for $660 at Philips Singapore.
Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G20 ($299)
Best for value-conscious families who want sleek design
Looking for performance without the premium price tag? The Xiaomi G20 delivers serious function with surprisingly chic form. At just 3.7kg, it’s fairly easy to carry around, and its matte white finish gives off sleek, minimalist vibes that won’t clutter your home aesthetic.
Don’t be fooled by the slim frame — it packs 25,000Pa of suction power and a 1500 rpm mini electric brush, which means it tackles everything from dust and crumbs to post-snack messes without flinching. The G20 includes multiple brush heads for different surfaces, including a crevice nozzle for hard-to-reach corners and an extension rod that lets you move seamlessly into cleaning ceiling corners and air-conditioner vents. Plus, it runs for up to 60 minutes on eco mode, so you can clean your entire flat without rushing.
The Xiaomi Vacuum Cleaner G20 is available for $299 at Mi Singapore.
Bosch Unlimited 6 Blue ($449)
Best for fast pick-ups and lightweight portability
Sometimes you just need a grab-and-go vacuum for those “uh-oh” messes — and this one fits the bill perfectly. Weighing just 2.4kg, the Bosch Unlimited 6 Blue is incredibly easy to handle, even with one hand while the other is busy wrangling a fussy toddler. It’s built for speed and convenience, whether you’re doing a quick cleanup before guests arrive or clearing up breakfast crumbs for the third time that day.
Powered by the AllFloor Power Brush and TurboSpin motor, it delivers strong suction while staying pleasantly quiet. The runtime is up to 30 minutes on a full charge, and the exchangeable battery system means you can always have a spare on standby — super handy for larger flats or multi-level homes.
The Bosch Unlimited 6 Blue is available for $449 at Bosch Singapore.
Tefal X-Nano Essential Handstick Vacuum Cleaner ($179)
Best for daily cleaning without strain
In a small flat, corners count — and the Tefal X-Nano is a game changer for all those sneaky dust zones under beds, between cabinets, and behind the fridge. It’s one of the slimmest cordless vacuums out there, with a profile that easily fits into tight spaces, and at just 1kg in portable vacuum mode, it’s ultra-lightweight. That means less strain on your arms — especially helpful for elderly family members or anyone who just doesn’t want a full upper-body workout while cleaning.
Despite its size, it delivers impressive suction power (up to 100 Air Watts) and runs for up to 40 minutes on eco mode. The wall-mounted dock makes storage a breeze in small homes, and it charges in just three hours, so it’s always ready when dust bunnies appear out of nowhere (which they always do).
The Tefal X-Nano Essential Handstick Vacuum Cleaner is available for $179 on Amazon.
Electrolux UltimateHome 700 Lightweight Vacuum Cordless Stick Cleaner ($590)

Powered by a 150W motor with cyclonic suction, it effortlessly lifts up fine dust, hair, and snack crumbs. The 5-step filtration system, including a washable HEPA filter, helps trap allergens — a huge plus for families with sensitive noses. And the 50-minute runtime means you can do the whole flat in one go. My personal favourite feature? The BedPro Power Plus UV nozzle, which can remove even the tiniest particles from your mattress — a must-have for anyone who doesn’t sleep well due to allergies, but doesn’t want to invest in a separate vacuum.
The Electrolux UltimateHome 700 Lightweight Vacuum Cordless Stick Cleaner is available for $590 at Harvey Norman Singapore.

Translation: no gross dust clouds flying back into your face.
Under the hood, it’s got a 280W HexaJet Motor and AI Cleaning Mode for strong, consistent suction that can adapt to different surfaces — powerful and yet smart enough for homes with a mix of tiles, laminate flooring, and rugs. The five-layer filtration system traps fine particles and allergens, making it a solid pick for families or anyone with sensitive noses. It runs up to 60 minutes per charge and charges back up fast on its compact dock. A statement piece that actually works hard? Yes, please.

If you’ve ever had to cut tangled hair off your vacuum roller with a pair of kitchen scissors, this one’s for you. The Shark Cordless Vacuum IZ202 features a Self-Cleaning Brushroll that actively removes hair as you clean, making it a dream for households with long-haired creatures — whether they’re human or animal. No more stopping mid-clean to wrestle with the brush head.
It delivers strong suction across carpets and hard floors, thanks to DuoClean technology, which uses two brushrolls for a seamless transition between surfaces. Plus, the Flexiwand bends (such a smart idea!) so you can reach under low furniture without contorting yourself into a yoga pose. It also folds neatly for upright, compact storage — a big win in smaller flats.
With up to 40 minutes of runtime and an anti-allergen seal that traps dust and dander, this vac is a solid multitasker for busy homes. Bonus: the LED headlights on the nozzle help you spot hidden crumbs (or stray glitter if your kid’s been crafting again).
The Shark Cordless IZ202 is available for $508 at Shark Singapore.

It’s powered by an 18V Li-Ion battery (sold separately if you’re just buying the bare unit alone) and uses a high-performance brushless motor that delivers strong suction while being energy efficient.

Karcher WD3 Wet & Dry Vacuum ($288)
Best for tackling tough messes in outdoor or utility areas

The 17-litre impact-resistant container means you don’t have to empty it every five minutes, and the blow function is perfect for clearing dry leaves and other outdoor debris in seconds. It also comes with a universal floor nozzle, crevice tool, and a cartridge filter that allows seamless switching between wet and dry modes without changing filters — so yes, it’s as versatile as it sounds.
It’s not dainty, but if you need a reliable workhorse for big cleanups, this is the one to park in your garage or backyard.
The Karcher WD3 is available for $288 at Courts Singapore.
Roborock Qrevo ($599)
Best for high-tech cleaning with mop-and-vacuum in one
If you want floors that feel hotel-fresh without spending your weekends scrubbing, the Roborock Qrevo is worth the splurge. How to Choose a Vacuum Cleaner?
Luckily for us, clunky and heavy vacuums are now a distant memory — today’s technology has replaced those with sleek, futuristic models that help you look good while you’re doing this mundane task. Here are some of our favourites, but first — a quick guide on how to choose your new vacuum cleaner.
1. Home size
The size of your home will influence the type and capacity of vacuum cleaner you need. For large homes, a robot vacuum cleaner might be your best cleaning aid, except when it comes to cleaning the staircase areas. If you live in a typical BTO flat, an upright vacuum cleaner is probably too bulky and you may wish to consider more compact foldable models that are easier to tuck away.
2. Home flooring
Your home floors, depending on whether you have a lot of rugs, parquet, vinyl, or marble, may dictate your choice of vacuum cleaner. Upright corded vacuums generally have stronger suction power and are great for deep-cleaning even the deepest of rugs and carpets. Similarly, robot vacuums are more suitable for hard floors but definitely don’t match up to its corded cousin for cleaning rugs. If you have a mix, then a model with adjustable settings or heads might be ideal.
3. Suction power
Suction power is super important if you are dealing with daily pet hair (pawrents, take note), so suction capability would be a strong consideration for homes with pets. A higher wattage generally indicates stronger suction, although some vacuums these days are engineered for low-wattage high-powered energy efficiency. Look for models with strong, adjustable suction power especially if you have a variety of floor types (E.g., carpets, hardwood, tile, etc.)
4. Lasting power
It might feel like a toss-up between the consistent unlimited power of the corded vacuum or the nifty convenience of the lesser-powered rechargeable cordless models, but the size of your home, your home flooring and the purpose of this vacuum will all come into play. In general, you’d want a corded powerhouse for deep-cleaning or large spaces. Cordless and handheld vacuums are fantastic for small messes and smaller spaces, but not for deep-cleaning a large area.
5. Noise level
If your baby is a light sleeper like mine, you might find that the vacuum’s noise level is an important factor. People with sound sensitivities may also prefer a quieter model.
6. Filter type
If you or a family member suffers from allergies or asthma, look for a vacuum with a HEPA filter that effectively traps particles as small as 0.3 microns. Carbon filters are great for neutralising odours, which is useful if you have pets. Alternatively, you may also prefer a vacuum with washable eco-friendly filters to save on replacements.
7. Filter replacement and maintenance
Not all us are great at taking electronics apart, so you may want to check how easy it is to replace or maintain your vacuum and its parts before committing. Also check how easy it is to empty and clean the dust container. When considering your budget for the vacuum, remember to factor in the cost of ongoing expenses such as replacing filters, brushes, bags or batteries, etc.
8. Weight and maneuverability
This might seem like a frivolous concern, but for petite Asian women like me who do not particularly enjoy weightlifting, having a lightweight model makes the difference between an aching back — or not. Ensure your vacuum is comfortable for you and easy to move around your home.
9. Attachments and accessories
For carpeted homes, you’d look for a vacuum with a motorised brush head. For hardwood floors, you’d want one with a soft brush roll to prevent scratching. Crevice tools are useful for cleaning corners, tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas, while dusting brushes are good for dusting furniture and more delicate surfaces. Brush attachments are absolutely essential if you need to regularly clean pet hair off sofas or staircases.
10. Brand reputation, warranty and customer service
Reliable brands are generally safer bets, but no matter which you choose, ensure that your vacuum comes with a solid warranty for greater peace of mind. Check your warranty terms at the same time so you know exactly what to expect if your vacuum cleaner breaks down, i.e. how to reach customer support, where to send the unit for repairs, whether you can walk in or require an appointment, etc.
