A Balinese-inspired look was chosen for the house, which incorporates teak screens and natural materials.

5) Balinese-inspired three-storey semi-detached house in Braddell

This three-storey semi-detached house has the relaxing atmosphere of a Balinese retreat. The folding doors leading to the pool stand open most of the time to let in light and air. Big outdoor furniture in a rattan weave and a tree-trunk dining table bring home that Balinese villa experience.

6) This two-bedroom executive condominium is reminiscent of a Balinese resort! 

With its dark wood accents and light, translucent curtains, the living room of this two-bedroom executive condominium is reminiscent of a Balinese resort. The homeowners, a couple in their early 30s, were inspired by their honeymoon in Bali.

The living area's original homogenous tile flooring were replaced with waterproof laminate that resembles wood when applied. Plants, ceramic pots and cream-coloured curtains and cushions were used to complement the rustic look.

Much like luxury-resorts in Bali, this home has its own pool with a timber deck, and even an outdoor entertainment area where the owner keeps a foosball table. A balcony overlooks the pool.
