The captivating art festival, Light to Night, is making a return this weekend until 28 January 2018! However, it can be intimidating as there are so many things happening all over the area. If you only have 6 hours to spare on Saturday night, here’s a handy timeline of the activities and exhibitions worth a visit!

1. Indoor Performances at Padang Atrium

Where: National Gallery Singapore, Padang Atrium

Time: 2pm – 11pm

Kick off your journey with the bite-sized music performances to complement your art experience, at the Padang Atrium! Playing at the location are several popular local artists including Astronauts, Jill-Marie Thomas, Jasmine Sokko and Gentle Bones.

2. Indoor Performances at Victoria Concert Hall

Where: Victoria Concert Hall

Time: 5pm – 10:10pm

After enjoying some R&B and pop music at the Padang Atrium, you can head to Victoria Concert Hall for more soothing symphonic performances – on 20 January, you can expect pieces like Music and Me directed by Peggy Ferroa as well as Beats Around the World by SNYO Percussion Ensemble. Meanwhile, pieces like Strum! by Nanyang Polytechnic Guitar Club and Woodwind Concordia by Nanyang Polytechnic Symphony Orchestra will be played on 27 January.

3. House of Mirrors

Where: Empress Lawn

Time: 10am – midnight

Price: $2 per pax

Once your ears are tired, head to the Empress Lawn, where a multi-sensory adventure awaits! The exhibition, aptly named “House of Mirrors”, is a fascinating labyrinth of endless mirrors which will take you on a journey through disorientating optical illusions and reflections – all taking place in a house-sized kaleidoscope. The mirror maze offers a surreal experience unlike any other, so be sure to stop by!

4. Art Incubator: Tropical Primitive Hut

Where: Asian Civilisation Museum

Time: 10am – midnight

A new site-specific installation, “Art Incubator: Tropical Primitive Hut”, designed by Year 1 National University of Singapore (NUS) students, will take the centre stage at ACM Green. This interpretation of a primitive hut explores the natural connections between people, architecture and the environment, that will add a different perspective to your experience in the Civic District.

5. Esplanade Presents: All Things New

Where: Esplanade

Time: 6pm – 10:15pm

After catching the unique art exhibitions, you can then head to Esplanade to relax and enjoy new music from fresh faces in Singapore’s music scene! Artists you can expect include Karmahead, Paint the Sky Red, Subsonic Eye and Test the Divide.

6. Trip to the Colourscape

Where: Esplanade

Time: 8pm – midnight

Head back to National Gallery Singapore in style – through the Esplanade Park tunnel light up called “Trip to the Colourscape”. Here, you’ll witness a display of vibrant hues through coloured lights and shadows. This experience will be enhanced with musical performances at the Esplanade Park by local bands like Cosmic Child and Sang Mataharitidur Mati!

7. Art Skins

Where: Former Supreme Court Building, The Arts House, Victoria Theatre, Victoria Concert Hall, and Asian Civilisations Museum

Time: 8pm – midnight

If you managed to catch all the highlights, you can end the night with a leisurely stroll through the Art Skins. The light-up is definitely a must-see for everyone, but it’ll be available every night, so don’t be in a rush to get there. Instead, catch the live performances first!
