Answer: not a lot.
You can start small by building a relatively low-maintenance terrarium, plant micro greens to include in your diet, before moving up to plan an indoor or rooftop garden with planters.

We quizzed Charles for more:
What's your favourite terrarium moss/plants?
The moss I’m using are imported moss, mainly cushion and sheet moss. find they’re receptive to our climate and great for terrariums. I do like to include terrestrial plant specials such at jewel orchids and peperomia or fittonias in the jars. I Don’t really have a favourite species of plants but if I were to choose, I like plants without ‘thorns’ actually, foliages with interesting textures.
Are there plants in the market we should avoid to put in our terrarium because they are unsuitable for the tropical climate?
I won’t really say not suitable but they are some plants that are particularly sensitive to our tropical climate, such as begonias and higher altitude aroids, however if given the right temperatures and conditions they might thrive.
Do you need to have a green thumb to keep a terrarium?
The idea of keeping a terrarium first came to me because it can be sustainable with minimal care – but it doesn’t mean but requires no care. So keeping a terrarium is actually a good entry point to cultivating green and spark your curiosity for me. It's satisfying to watch your terrarium grow, and it is also a beautiful indoor decoration.
