1. Repair Kopitiam

Revive the repair culture in Singapore and salvage your (seemingly) broken products. Not sure how you can fix them? Visit the Repair Kopitiam to get some help on mending malfunctioned household items, such as irons, damaged radios, faultu fans, wobbly chairs and furniture, torn clothes, and more – for free.

These sessions take place every last Sunday of the month at public venues, such as void decks and community centres. Visit their to find out if there will be one near you soon.

2. Green issues by Agy

If you love fashion, craft and DIY, here’s your chance to make your clothes last longer. Reconnect with your wardrobe by learning useful repairing, repourposing and upcycling transformation techniques at workshops offered by avid upcycler and advocate of sustainable fashion, Agatha Lee. She’ll also throw in valuable advice on how to make eco-conscious fashion choices in Singapore. Get more details here

3. Project Upcycle

Organised by the Central Singapore Community Development Council (CDC), this community programme aims to reduce waste by teaching residents to turn trash into treasure via regular workshops. They even held a fun Project Upcycle Competition and The Up Market – an exciting flea market that showcased various creative upcycled items for sale.
