Atelier Swarovski Home, a new luxury home accessories brand, was recently launched at the Salone del Mobile design fair in Milan.

We got to preview the collection, designed in collaboration with celebrated architects and designers, including Aldo Bakker, Daniel Libeskind, Fredrikson Stallard, Kim Thomé, Raw Edges, Ron Arad, Tomás Alonso, Tord Boontje and the late Zaha Hadid.

The pieces — centerpieces and home accessories — are created from mixed materials
such as marble, metals and resins, together with crystal.

They were displayed in the Presidential Suite of The Fullerton Hotel.

3/12

Architecture & The City by Daniel Libeskind.

This is a chess set with playing pieces inspired by the famous architect's iconic buildings. My personal favourite, and a great gift for any architecture buff!

4/12

Glacarium by Fredrikson Stallard.

This collection of vases, bowls and candle holders was inspired by the form of raw crystal.

5/12

Crista by Zaha Hadid.

This is one of the late Zaha Hadid's last works. She designed an imposing centerpiece in crystal and metal, drawing inspiration from the natural process of crystallisation.

6/12

Luxe Orbit by Tord Boontje.

By the Dutch designer, this is a series of objects for home entertaining, to include lanters, bowls and wine coolers. The pieces are set in glass, solid surface and crystal, with crystals scattered over their polished surfaces.

7/12

Printed by Raw Edges.

This is a collection of centrepieces, or vases and bowls, by the London-based, Tel Aviv-born designer duo. Its design incorporates a new laser-jet crystal printing technique from Swarovski. Layered prints on the interior of the objects produce colorful patterns on the surfaces.

8/12

Alphabet & Numbers by Ron Arad.

A collection of crystal digits and letters, or bookends, designed in a new font. The pieces are precision-cut from a crystal mass, and are sized at 22cm and 13.5cm tall.

9/12

Prism by Tomas Alonso.

Trays, centrepieces and bowls are constructed from crystal and marble prisms, bonded together using Swarovski’s signature UV adhesives and colour coatings.

10/12

Plinth by Kim Thome.

These candleholders by the Norweigian-born designer feature a heavy stainless steel base topped with crystal "halos". They come in a variety of heights.

11/12

Crystal Vase by Aldo Bakker.

This vase can be taken apart and is held together without any bolts or glue. It comprises three pieces of faceted crystal and marble for the sides, and a marble base. The base acts as a shallow water pool, and also holds the faceted side pieces together.

Besides the Home collection, the new A/W 2016 jewellery collection was showcased. Shown here are pieces part of the Arbol range by Peter Pilotto.
