Fancy a home that has a colour palette with primarily black and white hues, as well as a good dose of wood tones? You'd want to see this apartment in Porto Alegre, Brazil.

Designed by Brazilian design firm Ambidestro, the living room and kitchen spaces are kept bright and airy. Thanks to all-white cabinetry on one side of the apartment, and generous natural light that floods into the space, the home exudes a welcoming ambience.

The living area is kept simple, furnished with a grey sofa, black armchair and TV console, and a rug to frame the space.

Due to the space constraint in the home, the designers made sure to incorporate sufficient storage seamlessly, to keep the living areas looking neat and free of clutter.

Leading the eye into the private spaces, such as the bedrooms, is a wood-look cladded corridor that blends perfectly with wardrobes fitted along the walkway.

A stark contrast from the living area, the master bedroom has a darker colour palette complete with a black wall and black timber blinds behind the bed.

The en suite bathroom is cladded in marble-look mosaic tiles from floor to ceiling, to give it a luxurious look.

There's also a guest room or lounge area in the home, which offers extra seats if needed.

Another bathroom in the home is finished completely in black, giving it a very bold, edgy aesthetic. Even the WC was chosen to camouflage into the space!
