This gorgeous interior design project in Ukraine was inspired by the facade of its 19th century building, just like how many apartments in Singapore are inspired by its Peranakan neighbourhoods.
Designed by Alena Makagon, Alexandr Ivasiv and Artem Zavarzin, the home features contemporary design elements such as tinted glass doors separating kitchen and living room. A Delightull lamp hangs above the dining area, and is reflected on the mirrored backsplash of the kitchen.
In the common bathroom, the wall is clad in decorative panel-like wallpaper, and matched with sleek bathroom fittings.
The bedroom is kept simple with contemporary furnishings in glossy finishes, so the 19th century-esque features do not look dated.
While the resting area exudes a calm and restful atmosphere with grey hues, the walk-in closet space has a pop of egg blue.
The master bathroom also features a wallcovering -- a monochromatic and calming scene of mountains.
