We've compiled a list of gorgeous homes in Bedok as well as Dawson Estate. Now, we're introducing three homes in Choa Chu Kang, each distinctively different from one another.

Let's start with this contemporary home, which has been designed by the homeowner himself, architectural assistant Amoz Boon. Their five-room BTO HDB flat is sophisticated and sports a calming earthy palette.

This 4A HDB flat, which belongs to 59-year-old Aeden Tang, is a world away. Colourful and vibrant, this maximalist home emulates the bustling and fun vibe of a cafe.

Measuring 1,000sqf in size, the home renovation and furniture costs the owner $150,000. It was designed by Ideal Design Interior, who fitted partially covered kitchen shelves (the frosted glass panels are on rollers) and a feature wall made of wood pallet pieces.

Aeden's flat has been a hit with friends. He hosts pot-luck dinners here every two to three weeks. A friend's daughter also used his home to shoot her wedding pictures in March.

Last but not least is a feng shui-influenced home, which was renovated and decorated by two experts: a geomancer who is a close family friend to the homeowners, and designer Ray Sim of 2Form Interior Design.

Ray translated his design concept from the couple's auspicious colours and desire for something contemporary. Subtle details like a geometric motif and a red wall highlight this Chinese fusion theme.

The mostly-white dining room was given vibrant splashes of colour through art and accessories.

By weaving in subtle references to the homeowners' auspicious colours and clever material applications, the designer has created a refreshing take on Chinese fusion.
