Contemporary home design
The contemporary dining room flawlessly combines form and function. Textured wall coverings complement the dramatic grey granite wall opposite, creating a contemporary yet inviting ambiance. The dark timber ceiling spans the length of the open concept living, dining and kitchen spaces, bringing height down for a more intimate feel.
"We wanted a contemporary look with features that would enhance the basic interiors provided by the developer," notes the homeowner. To achieve their contemporary home vision, interior designer Lim incorporated recessed downlights in the ceiling and added a row spotlights to showcase the granite's texture.

The kitchen island countertop came with the home, but was moved to make more space for the dining area in this dark modern 4-bedroom condominium in Sentosa Cove.
Sleek kitchen aesthetic
The kitchen continues the home's contemporary interior design with an immense grey granite-topped island taking center stage. The island originally came with the condo, but was relocated by interior designer Lim to open up more space for the adjacent dining area.
"By moving the island, we created a more cohesive contemporary open-concept kitchen and dining space," says Lim. The grey stone island, white cabinetry and modern pendant lights create a sleek, contemporary kitchen aesthetic.
Yet the space doesn't sacrifice convenience and comfort. Warm wood flooring offsets the cool granite surfaces, while the immense island provides ample seating and prep space for the homeowners who love to cook and entertain.

Retreating to the master bedroom, you'll discover a serene contemporary interior design. The feature wall is dramatic without being imposing, and adds organic warmth to the space through grey wood-look textural wallpaper.
"We wanted the bedroom to feel like a luxe hotel suite," explains the homeowner. Designer Lim incorporated recessed lighting to accent the wall, along with contemporary grey linen bedding and neutral furnishings.
Echoing the living room's aesthetics, the textural bedroom wall adds warmth and interest without disrupting the contemporary interior design flow. "The continuous design elements like the wood ceiling and accent walls connect the spaces, while still allowing each room to have its own unique contemporary vibe," Lim describes.
