House Tour: Country style interiors for a 3-bedroom Upper Bukit Timah flat
Owner and designer Annie Tan of interior and architecture consulting firm The Interarch Design transformed the tired, cluttered space of her 1,500 sq ft (139 sqm) three-bedroom apartment in Upper Bukit Timah into the easy-breezy home it is now.
In the dining area, a rattan and bamboo bench, and a “weathered” metal pendant lamp from Australia contrast nicely with the lighter wood tones of the dining table and chairs.
Exposed Brick Feature Wall
She had some feature walls clad in rustic finishes, such as brick in the living area for texture and wood panels behind the TV console.
Built In Bookshelf
Built-in shelves house a mix of books and the husband's toy collection in the study.
Aluminium Kitchen Backsplash
The powder-coated aluminium panel is a point of visual interest in the pristine kitchen.
Black & White Kitchen
Black lines among the white cabinets lend a graphic look to the kitchen. Tea towel from Egg3, black serving bowl from The Touch.
Bawa Timber
Bawa timber, typically used for outdoor decking, clads one wall of the powder room for a warm, homely look.
Pearlescent Mosaic Tiles
With little sunlight entering the bathroom, pearlescent mosaic tiles help to "multiply" what's coming in.
