Home Tour: This 3-bedroom condominium in Yio Chu Kang looks like a minimalist hotel

Designed to capture the luxurious ambience of a hotel suite, this home is a 3-bedroom condominium apartment along Yio Chu Kang Road, housing a family of four. The homeowners, who love to entertain guests, asked interior designer Chris Koh and her team from The Orange Cube to create a hotel inspired living area with ample storage compartments to maintain a clutter-free, clean aesthetic.

Hotel style dining room

The dining area features a space-saving seating bench, and display shelves to showcase the homeowners’ liquor collection. This zone is also surrounded by reflective surfaces, such as vertical mirror panels and a suspended chrome lighting feature, to give the space a touch of glamour.

Hotel inspired living room

In the living room, a glossy S-shaped storage feature allows the owners to display accessories, complemented by black and white acrylic panels that contribute to the simple yet elegant hotel inspired look.

While the children's rooms deviate from the theme, the rest of the home, including the master bedroom, follows a sophisticated color scheme of grey, silver, black, and white.

The interior designer, Chris, incorporated the son's favorite colors into a monochrome hotel inspired bedroom with red accents, featuring box-like shelves and a boxy bed frame that bring a masculine touch to the space.

"It was just like working with a friend, since this is the second time I've worked with the owners," says Chris, emphasizing the enjoyable and effortless experience, as the homeowners had a clear vision for their renovation.

With the elegant and luxurious hotel inspired design of the living spaces, this family comes home to a hotel-like apartment every day, reveling in the hotel inspired ambiance they desired.
