After their holidays in Europe, the owners of this 1,184 sq ft (109 sqm) three-bedroom apartment in the east were so inspired that they wanted to replicate the industrial-vintage café look of the restaurants they visited in their house.

Ed Ong of Dwell Interior Design gave their living room wall a textured whitewashed brick treatment to channel an industrial-style ambience. Instead of using fake bricks or look-alike tiles, he chose tiles surfaced with real brick veneer.
