Interior designer IPO Design successfully captured the essence of it and translated it into this Japanese-inspired apartment.

The Japanese-inspired interior design exudes an unmistakable Zen aesthetic that calms the mind and soothes the soul. From the thoughtful minimalism to the natural materials and muted color palette, every element works in harmony to create a remarkably peaceful living environment.

Stretched linen was used in place of traditional hard-to-find Japanese shoji paper for the window panels in the meditation-cum-guest room. The fabric lets in some sunlight, which casts a soft glow through the room. Homeowner Irena loves the fact that her home looks modern and minimalist, yet feels welcoming to everyone who visits.
