Situated along a common corridor, the entrance to the home opens into a foyer lined by a wall of ventilation cubes and a shoe rack in a metallic finish. Even the floor in the area has been laid with different tiles to segment it from the living room without cutting out the visual flow of the spaces. Oh, and the addition of a swing in the space may look quaint, but it also helps to add vibrancy and energy to the spaces.

Ventilation blocks are a great way to partition different areas in an open-plan concept, and what makes this look even more engaging is the way the cube design is repeated in the shoe rack.

Situated behind the ventilation block wall is a leather bench along the passageway connecting the living area and the kitchen.

The opposite side of the room is where the dining and living areas are located. Notice how the exposed walls are used sparingly as accents to complement the white walls? This achieves a perfect balance between rough industrial and modern minimalist.

The design studio used plain cabinets and metal surfaces in the kitchen to complement the industrial and minimalist look of the home. We're digging the checkerboard tile flooring as well! It is a simple touch, but just enough to give the kitchen an atmosphere of its own that's different from the rest of the home.

The design of the lounge area has been left simple and plain, allowing the furniture to take centerstage. Here, sofas in different upholstery designs and a wired coffeetable provide a cosy nook for guests to relax and chill out.

Shelves were built into the alcove to provide display areas for the homeowner's books. The all-white look remains in keeping with the walls in the home, maintaining visual continuity.

The dining table sits between the lounge area and the entrance, adding to its functionality. Here, the casual atmosphere is amplified with the use of mismatched chairs. The untreated sliding windows ensure that plenty of light fills the room during the day, and transforms the view into a scintillating vista when night falls.

There aren't any artworks on the walls, but the furniture and finishes exude all the character this home needs.

A semi-translucent plastic curtain separates the bathroom from the wardrobe. The colour in the bathroom is earthy and comforting, providing a sense of depth to the space.

The variation in themes within the home helps to bring out the multi-faceted character of the interiors, and speak volumes about the friendly and welcoming nature of its owners too. The project has been thoroughly thought-through even though the results look effortless. The journey to achieve a delicate balance between simplicity and creativity certainly paid off handsomely for the homeowner and the design team too.
