White makes a space look larger, yes, but too much of it can also make your home look boring. This three-room HDB flat, which uses a lot of white, looks anything but monotone! Dwell Interior Design shows us that the trick is to bring in lots of light and balance out the white with wood tones. See how they  transformed this standard flat into a sophisticated, light-filled home for two sisters (with a walk-in wardrobe!).

By reducing the size of the wet kitchen, a streamlined wall of cabinets could be built into the dry kitchen, which also feature easily accessible built-in ovens.

These glass doors can open to sit against either the dry kitchen countertop or the wet kitchen sink, depending on which area is being used.

The designer created a sleek display-and-storage unit with plenty of room for the sisters’ belongings.

The pull out seat doubles up as storage for DVDs and knick-knacks.

A sleek platform for mattresses marks the sleeping space in the bedroom and augments the home’s minimalist slant.

The walk-in wardrobe has two entryways so both use it at the same time. These also facilitate ventilation.
