House Tour: $200,000 renovation for this penthouse condo apartment with a neutral palette of greys
By Home & Decor Team -
Designed by Syed Agil Albahar of White Space Living, this penthouse apartment boasts elongated living area, with floor-to-ceiling glass walls. The owners had requested a neutral palette of greys, plus customised furnishings unique to each room. Agil designed a low TV console topped with a slab of white solid surfacing that ends at a small water feature.
The light box in the small private lift lobby adds illumination without taking up extra floor space. Renovation cost of $200,000 included a lot of built-in carpentry and customisation, plus wall coverings and soft furnishings.
Discreetly built into the bar countertop, the sink brings great convenience to the homeowners and their guests when they entertain at home.
The brightness of the living area gives way to dark drama created with the use of recessed lighting. A dark tunnel made with wall coverings and dark-stained doors lead to the bedrooms.
A customised cabinet built around the TV set in the master bedroom keeps the space neat by hiding clutter and audio-visual eqipment.
When the windows are open, a mirrorred wall next to the grey shelf reflects in the view of the outdoor surroundings for the pleasure of the person working at the desk.
A pleasantly neutral palette of wood and grey tones brings a sense of serenity to the children's room.
