You might have heard of the interior design firm Free Space Intent, and now, here's a look at its design director Raymond Seow's home! It's a three-bedroom condominium unit in the Serangoon area, sporting a fun and colourful geometric theme. Raymond lives here with his wife and young son.

The renovation cost $55,000.

Simple but striking feature walls were created with tiles and paint, in bright and cheery colours. The customised built-in furniture also features eye-catching geometric designs throughout the home.

In the living area, diamond-shape mosaic tiles from An Huat were used as a backdrop for the TV console, zoning the open-concept space. Bridging the living and dining areas, a shelf full of Raymond's toy figurines and collectibles add to the fun.

As for the cosy dining area, hexagonal concrete tiles in various shades (also from An Huat) were chosen and applied in a tessellation. Dining chairs with colours picked out from the palette further enhance the look.

Built-in cabinets, such as the wall-mounted sink counter in the balcony, were finished in laminate. Raymond designed their front panels to have a chevron design, using laminates with a light wood-tone, as well as vibrant solid colours for contrast.

The balcony also serves as an al fresco dining area.

The master bedroom's focal point is the upholstered bed headboard — its structured shape and snazzy colours jazzes up the room.

The rest of the furniture is kept simple, but the wardrobe also features the chevron detail in the same colours.

The guest bedroom looks different, to mix things up. Instead of adopting the geometric theme, it takes on a more romantic, feminine feel, with the use of floral wallpaper.

But to keep the overall look trendy and fresh, furniture and fixtures with modern designs were chosen.
