House Tour: $60,000 renovation for the white and bright interiors in this four-bedroom condo unit
By Home & Decor Team -
When businessman Gilbert Peh bought this four-bedroom condominium apartment, he was already satisfied with the space and layout. Instead of spending money on extensive, complicated structural renovations, he decided that all it needed was a touch of style. He gave designer Arean Wong from Space Vision Design free rein to use it around the whole apartment.
For the living and dining areas, a modern yet luxe touch was created with a matte gold crushed metallic vinyl wall covering. With furnishings like the suspended television console, created with a combination of pearl-tinted raw cement screed and glossy laminate, complement the gold hue.
Full length windows bring in nice natural lighting but they can inhabit privacy. Arean designed double-panelled (top and bottom) blinds with stripes in subtle hues to guard the family's privacy.
The original window was covered up and replaced with a mirrored cabinet to provide storage for Mrs Peh's beauty products.
The metallic grey wallpaper creates a restful ambience while the stainless steel pole becomes a mount for the television set and doubles up as clever concealment for messy wires.
