The homeowners wanted their favourite hue to be used cleverly throughout the home. We spotted various shades of blue on both soft and hard surfaces, such as sofas and kitchen cabinets.

The kitchen island cum dining table features the Sensa Granite Top in Moak Black; this complements the blueberry blue cabinets. The stove in blue and brass decoratives handles were flown in from Europe, too.

Hall Interiors also had to reconfigure the layout of the home in order to allow more natural light in. "With the perfect layout, the materials will [naturally look good]. This preparation was also done to enhance the furniture chosen," says the team.

Hall Interiors retained the old checkered parquet and stained it to matte dark walnut; this gives an aged-yet-modern look.

Nature-inspired finishes, such as wood and stone, were chosen for the bathroom.
