House Tour: A classy, streamlined four-room HDB apartment at The Pinnacle @ Duxton

This four-room HDB apartment at The Pinnacle @ Duxton underwent a total redesign by Metaphor Studio.

It is home to a banker and college tutor in their late 30’s who wanted to maximise the space for social gatherings, and provide play areas for when they start a family. Their preference was for a sleek, timeless design with more storage space, and to preserve the views of the surrounding urbanscape.

The feature wall behind the television console is an intricate composition of quartz slab tiles, creating a rustic texture that is juxtaposed against the polished smoothness of the rest of the interior.

The absence of visual clutter evokes a soothing feeling that permeates the entire home.

The kitchen takes full advantage of every nook to create more storage compartments. Not a single trace of clutter is to be seen, as all the appliances are tucked away behind the laminate door panels.

Hidden beyond one of the door panels in the kitchen is the corridor leading to the private areas.

Two bedrooms were combined into one larger master suite. It reflects a fine balance between form and function.
