If you only associate minimalist homes with a wood-and-white palette, this home by Australian interior design firm Sisalla will change your mind. The homeowners had requested for a warm, contemporary and minimal home -– let’s see how Sisalla put the look together.

The dark and earthy palette was paired with simple statement pieces such as a white highback lounger and the Noguchi table by Isamu Noguchi.

Textured travertine stone in the living room feature wall and kitchen add texture and depth to the interior's mininalist and linear silhouettes.

Bright colours are few and far between. Sisalla introduced them in small doses, in the form of this painting and pastel-hued sofa cushions.

To maximise storage in the narrow wet kitchen, Sisalla designed a floor-to-ceiling open shelving.

Mustard, deep purple, and magenta -- three colours that surprisingly go well together.
