Located in Balmoral Park, this simple contemporary home exudes a relaxing and even chalet-inspired look. The homeowner decided to make good use of her view by placing a long wooden dining table -- which has space for your legs, too, if you don't feel like sitting cross-legged! -- that's perfect for late-night dinners with friends.
Designed by Lee May Anne from Makk Architects, the four-room semi-detached townhouse features an earthy colour palette, which makes the ideal backdrop for the homeowner's interesting and unique displays as well as coloured furniture.
A pair of orange armchairs (previous photo) in the living room and a golden statue ofGautama Buddha in the dining room pop against the home's neutral backdrop.
The homeowner favours geometric designs, and have used this design element consistently throughout the home. The rectangle motifs also make it easy for knick knacks and sculptures to be displayed neatly.
The bedroom is kept simple and restful, with light wood features instead of dark. One interesting feature about this home are its bathrooms. See the next picture to find out why.
The bathrooms of this 3,400sqf home has curved silhouettes, which presents a challenge to the designer. Mosaic tiles, due to its small size, can clad the curved wall beautifully.
