When one's children are now grown and married, the needs of the home change -- it now becomes a place for both family gatherings and relaxed entertainment.

It was with this in mind that the owners of this penthouse in the Bason area of Ho Chi Minh City approached interior designer Thái Công. Now that they lived with their adult children and spouses, they wanted to redesign the townhouse in the classical European style.

Thái Công reconfigured the layout and carefully curated the furniture, sourcing it from both local stores and Europe. As function was just as important as style, he made sure to take the daily activities of the homeowners into consideration and how they would use the furniture.

Since family time was important to them, Thái Công decided to focus on communal spaces within the home to promote quality time, such as the living room and entertainment room.
