A chic yet hassle-free loft. That was the brief the homeowners gave Carmen Tang of Wolf Woof when they tasked her to design their two-bedroom condominium apartment. Carmen dressed the home in monochrome hues, and designed a chevron-style metal railing to take the attention away from the small living room.
"As we were restricted by the living room size, we had to be strategic in our choice of furniture. I proposed statement pieces that expressed more style and personality, such as the lounge chair and poufs," says Carmen.
To match the vinyl flooring, Carmen designed a sitting nook clad in a wood-grain laminate. The drawers here also give the homeowners storage space.
Carmen also layered the home with accessories, such as plants and Ruben Ireland posters. A bar table was added to the home, so that the areas are well utilised.
For the staircase, Carmen opted for a material that is usually used to clad modular kitchens. "The finishes are more luxurious than that of vinyl flooring," says Carmen.
