House Tour: Open-concept family home with bold, colourful interior design & mismatched patterns
Designed by Brooklyn-based interior design firm Barker Freeman, this home gives its guests a friendly welcome with a foyer painted in a cheerful shade of blue.
Bold Colours, Patterns
The clients love colour and patterns; Barker Freeman achieved this with upholstered furniture and wall coverings in bold prints and hues.
Kitchen
Bookshelves line the entrance to the kitchen, which was finished in a grey and blue palette. A patterned backsplash and orange bar stools create a vibrant space.
Open, Communal Living
The clients had requested for an open and connected living space, so the parents can stay close to their three daughters.
Full Height Windows
Large windows meant lots of sunlight and a great view of the lush greenery outside.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was simply designed, with a focus on the vibrant powder blue walls instead.
Master Bathroom
The master bathroom is clad in simple grey tiles so as not to clash with the bedroom's blue walls.
Patterned Ceiling
This patterned ceiling makes for a dreamy bedroom!
