House Tour: Asian-meets-Scandinavian style in the home of this well-travelled writer-and-stylist

Tatjana Schantz Johnsson's multi-hued home stands out against the blue-skied serenity of Sig, a little village “counting 1,000 souls on the west coast of Denmark”, she says.
"My home is a fun mix of furniture and knick-knacks from all over the world done in an Asian-meets-classic-Scandinavian design - an unconventional Pippi Longstocking kind of style!"
Tatjana painted the living room's retro-style storage unit a lively green, and her artist friend Idris Johor added black woodgrain patterns. The metal suitcase underneath is a souvenir from Kathmandu. The kitschy pink flamingo completes the mesh of vigorous colour.
In the dining area, Baroque-inspired acrylic Ghost chairs by Philippe Starck are paired with a spare, retro-style dining table. A canary-yellow Chinese herb cabinet, which she bought from a friend who operates Fairprice Antique in Singapore, brightens up the room and provides convenient storage space.
Tatjana filled this ceramic pistol vase with porcupine quills bought from Blavand Zoo in Denmark.
Fire engine red leads the way in this corner of the kitchen. The metal cabinet from Ikea and a wall-mounted storage and display board make funky yet functional statements.
Tatjana's bedroom conveys a quiet air, with subtle yet interesting accessories like a windcatcher made of shells and a cream-coloured, Oriental-style armchair.
