Home Tour: All white walls and colourful decor for a 4-room HDB flat
Do you like this chirpy home from 2015?
By Home & Decor -
It is telling when homeowners make the effort to make a home truly theirs — just look at this HDB flat that's brimming with the couple's personalities! Interior design firm Spacious Planners renovated this 4-room flat, and created a clean-cut, monochromatic design that made it easier for the owners to personalise with their choice of colourful furniture.
Modern Industrial Interior Design
The modern-industrial interior design theme of this flat is evident in the living room, which sports exposed light bulbs and a brick feature wall. While both are quintessential elements of the industrial theme, they were given a more subtle treatment in this home, thus giving the space a visually lighter feel.
Open-Concept Dining Room
The couple is a fan of displaying photographs that immortalise the time they've spent together. At the open-concept dining area, a montage made up of their travel photographs and graphic posters designed by the husband brighten up the white walls and concrete surfaces.
Black and White Kitchen Design
The black and white colour palette is carried through into the kitchen, but the elongated black board enabled the couple to create colourful doodles to enliven the space. The red lamps with a nostalgic slant also adds character to this sleek, urban space.
Master Bedroom
Displaying colourful and eclectic collectibles doesn't always equate to mess! Just look at how these collected Vodka bottles, figurines, comic books, and can drinks are neatly displayed in the compact study room.
As the master bedroom had a little more room to spare, a mid-century modern armchair and footstool was included to cosy up the space. The couple also created a sweet little note above the bed made out of post-it notes.
