House Tour: Clever detailing and timeless furniture in this beautiful three-bedroom condo unit in Bukit Timah
The homeowners of this three-bedroom flat in Bukit Timah opted for a muted palette and timeless pieces. They worked with interior designer C.K. Chan from IPO Design. The couple chose a sofa the colour of mocha and a shaggy rug in coffee-brown. For continuity in the colour scheme, tea-tinted mirrors frame the TV.
The wall design is made interesting with different treatments for the boxes. Conventional clear mirrors were also ditched in favour of tea-tinted ones.
Space constraints were a challenge in the kids' room. A cabinet, long study table with drawers and bay seating were created to tackle the problem as they provide lots of storage.
The couple fell in love with the Skygarden lamp by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders, which features a beautiful textured design on its underside.
The original bathroom was kept intact except for the addition of downlights to illuminate the vanity area.
To add a touch of drama, a bold red PVC headboard was designed along with matching bay seat cushions.
