House Tour: Gloomy to bright transformation for this five-room Havelock Road flat
By Home & Decor Team -
What used to be a home shrouded in darkness has become a lively living space for the owner of this 1,270sqf, five-room flat in Havelock Road, thanks to an aesthetic intervention by Raymond Seow, principal designer of Free Space Intent.
The study was created in the former balcony space by simply building a half-wall which provides him with privacy without cutting him off from the rest of the home.
The same "half-wall" concept was applied to what was initially the balcony at the end of the living space. It works to introduce more light into the home while creating a useable study area for the occupants.
Cement walls and smooth cabinet finishes create a low-maintenance kitchen, while bright orange accents liven up the space.
